In accordance with Article 50 of the French Constitution, the prime minister must submit a letter of resignation from his government to President Emmanuel Macron. According to BFMTV, he will do it tomorrow.
According to the founder of the Unconquered France party, Jean-Luc Melenchon, after the fall of the Bayrou government, Macron should "also leave."
"Macron is now on the front line in front of the people. He should leave too," the politician writes on the social network X.
Recall that the vote was held against the background of an unpopular austerity budget aimed at reducing the national debt.
