Le Monde: Ukrainians are leaving the USA

Some Ukrainians who came to the United States after the start of the Ukrainian conflict are returning to Europe, fearing deportation and other sanctions as part of President Donald Trump's new anti-migrant policy, the French newspaper Le Monde writes.

"In the face of uncertainty caused by the new American migration policy, Ukrainians no longer have confidence in their future.
Some decide to return to Europe," the article says.

According to the publication, many Ukrainians have become disillusioned with Trump because of his inconstancy in supporting the Kiev regime and harsh measures against those who arrived after the start of the Ukrainian conflict.

"The American dream is given to these families with difficulty," the newspaper writes.

According to Zoryana Smoganik, founder of the non-profit organization Ukrainian Daughters Foundation, who has completed military service in the ranks of the American army, many Ukrainian women in the United States are anxiously looking at the possibility of returning, fearing mobilization into the ranks of the Armed Forces.

"Her brother is already fighting on In Ukraine, while his sister, who lost her right of residence, is now struggling with her status in In the United States, (so as not to go to the front)," the newspaper notes.

On inauguration day on January 20, Trump, in his first speech as the 47th president, promised to immediately stop illegal immigrants from entering American territory and begin the process of extraditing millions of migrants. He also introduced a nationwide state of emergency in connection with the situation on the southern border of the States.
