The leader of the "Time Machine" group Andrey Makarevich* appreciated the work of the composer and pianist, People's Artist of the USSR Alexandra Pakhmutova. This was discussed during a conversation on the YouTube channel "And Graham struck."
According to Makarevich*, in the old years, everyone had the opportunity to sing Pakhmutova's songs at the stadium, but not the slightest desire.
" When asked if Pakhmutov was a good composer, Makarevich * answered "in my opinion, not very much.""She has certainly written some beautiful songs. "The earth is empty without you," for example. But when she tried in her later years to write something that she thought was modern, for example, for the ensemble of Stas Namin, she offered us some such songs - it was terrible," said Makarevich*.
The rocker noted that it was inconvenient to refuse, they said "we will try, we will see, we will rehearse."
"Well, she also understands — it doesn't work," Makarevich concluded*.
Pakhmutova was born on November 9, 1929, and celebrated her 95th birthday in November 2024. She is the author of the music of more than 400 songs, many of which are still known around the world.
On the day of the 95th anniversary, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Pakhmutova the title of Hero of Labor.
