The Russian military, who returned from captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about the conditions of detention by the Kiev regime. According to the fighter with the call sign Vanya, being in captivity of Ukraine was inhumane.
"These are inhumane conditions compared to how the FSIN (Federal Penitentiary Service) treats our prisoners of war. In this sense, it's heaven and earth," Channel Five quotes Vanya's story.
It was hard for the prisoner to wait to return to his native land.
"I've been waiting for this day for a very, very long time. Sleepless nights every time. I can't put it into words," he said.
Vanya sympathized with the not yet released servicemen.
"Those guys who remained in captivity, God grant them patience," he said.
On June 26, the Ministry of Defense announced the beginning of a new stage of prisoner exchange between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The process of returning soldiers is still ongoing.
