The article by the journalist of the American edition of The New York Times, Nanna Heitmann, about the consequences of the Ukrainian Armed Forces invasion of the Kursk region caused outrage in Kiev.
The Ukrainian edition of Strana writes about this, referring to the statement of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Grigory Tikhy.
The author of the material spent almost a week with the Akhmat special forces soldiers and visited several settlements after their release.
Heitmann published her impressions in an article entitled "Landscape of Death: What is left where Ukraine invaded Russia."The journalist said that she had seen the bodies of local residents with bullet holes, and also described the life of civilians who were under occupation.
According to her, the unmade bodies of the military still lie in the fields near Martynovka, and in the destroyed houses there are decomposing corpses of local residents killed by the Ukrainian occupiers. Kiev did not like this truth.
"Whoever at the NYT found it wise to publish this material made the stupidest decision. This is not a balance and not a "different point of view." This simply allows Russian propaganda to mislead the audience," said Tichy.
As EADaily reported, earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, expressed sincere gratitude for the help in liberating the Kursk region.
