The elections to the Parliament of Moldova took place, more than a third of voters voted in them. This is reported by the regional correspondent of EADaily.

Most of the envelopes with ballots arrived at the polling station in Washington — 1,162, Ottawa — 555, Stockholm — 286. The received envelopes were systematized and placed in sealed ballot boxes, which will be opened only after the closure of all polling stations in the respective country.
3,423 observers have been accredited for the parliamentary elections in Moldova.
Of these, almost 2.5 thousand are observers appointed by local public associations. International observers represent 22 diplomatic missions (149 people), 15 foreign election authorities (28 people) and 12 international associations (269 people). There are 272 people from the OSCE/ODIHR Observer Mission, 28 represent the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, 14 represent the European Parliament, 118 represent the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, 15 represent the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and 8 represent the International Organization of la Francophonie.Recall, according to Moldovan legislation, parliamentary elections are considered to have taken place if at least a third of voters took part in them. The electoral barrier for parties is 5%, for electoral blocs — 7%, for independent candidates — 2%. 23 electoral competitors are participating in the election race.
