Lavrov responded to Poland's threats to arrest a plane flying to Hungary with Putin

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, commenting on the threat of Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to arrest Flight No. 1 with Russian President Vladimir Putin, pointed to Warsaw's readiness for terrorist attacks.

"The Poles are now ready to commit terrorist acts themselves," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said after talks with his Ethiopian counterpart Gedion Timotevos.
"I heard here that Mr. [Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw ] Sikorski threatened that the security of the plane of the President [of Russia Vladimir] If Putin is sent to Budapest for the proposed likely summit with [US President Donald] Trump, Putin's security in Polish airspace will not be ensured," Lavrov said.
"That is, Poland, through an official court — officially the court made a decision justifying the terrorist attack against Nord Streams, and now the Foreign Minister also says that if the Polish court demands, we will impede the free movement of the Russian leader's plane," the Russian Foreign Minister explained.

He also drew attention to the fact that "still now [Vladimir] Zelensky and his team are being provoked by the Poles, who justified this terrorist act, referring to the strikes on the Nord Streams.

As Lavrov noted, "these are very, very revealing cases," TASS quotes.

Earlier, Sikorski said that Warsaw could issue a decree on the arrest of an aircraft with Russian President Vladimir Putin if it enters Polish airspace. This is how he reacted to the message about the planned meeting of US and Russian presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Budapest and the possibility of the Russian leader using the route to travel to Hungary through Polish airspace.

Recall, after a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on October 16, Donald Trump announced a possible meeting with him in Budapest. Later, the possibility of negotiations was confirmed in the Kremlin, but the exact date is not yet known. At the same time, Bulgaria has already confirmed its readiness to provide an air corridor for the aircraft of the Russian leader.
