A power plant in the Israeli port of Haifa caught fire after an Iranian missile strike

The British company Ambrey, dealing with maritime security issues, reported fires at a power plant near the Israeli port of Haifa after an Iranian missile strike, Reuters reports.

"The British company Ambrey, dealing with maritime security issues, reported on Monday that fires were seen at a power plant near the Israeli port of Haifa after Iranian troops, amid the aggravation of relations with Israel, struck ballistic missiles at the port's infrastructure," the agency's material says.

Ambrey, as noted, stated that she watched a video of the Israeli military intercepting the attack, followed by the strikes of two hypersonic missiles.

On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation called the Rising Lion, in which the Air Force strikes military targets and facilities of Iran's nuclear program. The Israeli Air Force carried out several waves of attacks in various parts of Iran, including Tehran, where some high-ranking Iranian military personnel were killed, including the head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the commander of the IRGC, as well as a number of nuclear scientists. Several nuclear facilities were attacked, including in Natanz and Fordo, and positions of the Iranian military in various parts of the country.

The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his message to citizens called the attacks on Iran a crime and said that Israel was facing a "bitter and terrible fate."

The IRGC said that the Islamic Republic, in response to the attacks, launched Operation True Promise 3 against military targets in Israel.
