It's just dangerous: five songs of a popular Russian band have been banned in Russia

The court banned the distribution of five songs of the Leningrad group. This is reported on the website of the Vasileostrovsky Court of St. Petersburg.

The lyrics of the songs were considered dangerous for minors. The decision was made back in October 2024.

The complaint about the composition was voiced by Senator Margarita Pavlova. Upon the fact of the appeal, monitoring was carried out, during which it was established that the lyrics of the songs were freely available through ten Internet links.

Experts conducted a check, as a result of which "motives for violent actions, as well as actions that pose a threat to the spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical health of minors" were found in the songs.

We are talking about the compositions "Candidate", "NO ... NOT", "H.P.H.", "SMALLPOX" and "RUSSIANS".

As EADaily reported, earlier the prosecutor's office demanded that the track "Turn off the anthem" of the punk band "Pornofilms" be recognized as extremist material. With a corresponding claim, the agency appealed to St. Petersburg City Court.

According to experts, the song contains psychological and linguistic signs of calls to commit aggressive, violent actions and (or) crimes motivated by political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred, including against state authorities and their representatives.
