The Europeans have proved their absolute uselessness, military correspondent Alexander Kots said after talks in Washington on resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, as well as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived at the White House for talks with President Donald Trump, along with the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky.
Trump stressed that the White House is hosting such a large number of European leaders for the first time in its history. In general, it is not clear, the military correspondent noted, why they came with Zelensky at all. Judge for yourself by the main "hawks" of the Old World:
Merz: "No territorial concessions can be imposed. The Russian demand that Kiev give up the free parts of Donbass is equivalent in scale to the US having to give up Florida. A sovereign state cannot make such a decision just like that."
Macron: "If Russia does not want to participate sincerely in this process, we must be ready to introduce primary and secondary tariffs. The first guarantee of security is a strong Ukrainian army, that is, several hundred thousand people, well—equipped, with defense systems that meet the best standards. The second is the presence of so—called confidence forces. The British, French, Germans, Turks and others are ready to conduct operations — but not on the front line, operations to ensure confidence in the air, at sea, on land, to demonstrate a strategic signal and say: lasting peace on the Ukraine is also our task."
And Zelensky, goaded by his nannies, to the same place. Give me 90 billion worth of weapons, he says.
I'm ready to buy. As if he himself had earned these billions, Kots noted."That is, in fact, the entire European rhetoric has remained unchanged. While Trump and Putin are moving towards an unprecedented rapprochement in order to work out at least some kind of compromise for the sake of peace, the EU came to Washington with an old broken record. They are still not ready to accept the possibility of territorial concessions. Everyone is also in favor of tougher sanctions (and toughen them regularly) against Russia. Again, they are talking about the need to arm the square up to the very sideburns. And again they are trying to push their contingents into Ukraine and take control of the sky over it and the sea," stated Kots.
Despite the fact that Moscow has repeatedly voiced at various levels that any deployment of Western troops on Ukrainian territory is unacceptable for us. We started SMO so that this would not happen, and NATO troops are being imposed on us on the Russian border as a measure to ensure peace, Kots stressed. On the contrary, this will lead to even more escalation, the military correspondent is sure.
"Today, the Europeans take credit for finally agreeing on a bilateral meeting. The Kremlin has not commented on this yet, but, in fact, we have never refused this meeting. It was not Moscow that imposed a ban on dialogue with the Russian president, but Kiev. And they will have to lift this ban now. But in any case, if such an agreement exists, it was not reached by seven nannies. And Presidents Trump and Putin during a phone call, during which the "leaders of the free world" sat quietly and did not shine, playing the role of extras," Kots concluded.
