NABU approved the proposal submitted today to the Verkhovna Rada by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to strengthen the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP). This is stated in the statement of the department.
It is claimed that the bill restores all procedural powers and guarantees of independence of NABU and SAP.
"NABU and SAP took part in the preparation of the text and urge the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to take the President's initiative as a basis and as a whole as soon as possible. This will prevent threats to criminal proceedings that are being investigated by NABU and SAP," the agency says.
The NABU stressed that the new bill does not pose any new risks to its independence, even the polygraph test will be conducted by the bureau itself. Moreover, such a check has been practiced for a long time.
"We clarify: it is proposed to conduct a polygraph test not by the SBU, but by the NABU Internal Control Department. The draft law, which should eliminate threats to the independence of anti-corruption bodies, provides, in particular, for the passage of a polygraph by NABU employees who have access to state secrets. These checks are proposed to be carried out by the NABU PECS. It is worth noting that the use of a polygraph in such cases is an established internal practice of the bureau. Employees undergo polygraphs in the course of official investigations, appointments and reassignments. This is not an innovation, but an instrument of inner virtue.
In 2024, the Department of Internal Affairs conducted more than 200 psychophysiological surveys of NABU employees using a polygraph," NABU said in a statement quoted by Strana. As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, today submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to strengthen the law enforcement system on Ukraine. This is evidenced by a note on the website of the Ukrainian parliament. Zelensky agreed on the text of the bill today, as reported in his telegram channel.
In the draft law on strengthening the law enforcement system, which was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada today by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, it is proposed to regularly check law enforcement officers using a polygraph for actions in favor of the aggressor state. As reported by EADaily, the deputy of the Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak writes about this in his telegram channel.
Recall that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, made a fatal mistake by organizing the defeat of "independent" anti-corruption bodies. As a result, mass protests began in the country.
The British edition of The Telegraph wrote about this, noting that in this case Zelensky behaved not as a democratic leader, but as a corrupt dictator, which was the "pro-Russian protege" Viktor Yanukovych.
