"Friendship" has started working for Europe again: Brussels has not decided on the consequences

Deliveries via the Druzhba oil pipeline through Ukraine to Slovakia and Hungary resumed. Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked oil pumping stations for the third time in Russia. The European Commission said that energy security has not been affected, but "Friendship" is critically important for it.

The Minister of Economy of Slovakia Denisa Sakova said that oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline have resumed.

Previously Hungary and Slovakia appealed to the European Commission with a demand to ensure the protection of the countries' energy security, which was guaranteed by the European Commission.

"Critical infrastructure must be protected by all parties, energy security has not been affected," European Commission spokeswoman Eva Grinchirova told reporters, RIA Novosti reports. At the same time she added: "Nevertheless, energy security remains critically important, and the Druzhba oil pipeline is no exception to this rule."

Another representative of the European Commission, Arianna Podesta, said that the European Union reiterated to Ukraine the importance of maintaining energy supply and called on all parties to preserve critical infrastructure.

"We have received letters from Slovakia and Hungary on this occasion and will answer them," added Arianna Podesta.
