
The regional editor of URA was detained in Yekaterinburg.RU Igor Sergeev. He is a witness in the case of the editor of the publication Denis Allayarov, detained in early June, according to the media telegram channel.
"The journalist managed to inform the lawyers that he was being taken for questioning to the regional department of the Investigative Committee. Now the defenders do not have access to it," the publication says.
Igor Sergeev is the editor URA.RU throughout the Ural Federal District and the Perm Region, that is, he is the head of Allayarov, who headed the editorial office for the Sverdlovsk region.
At the same time, a TASS source in law enforcement agencies stressed that Sergeev was not detained, he was taking part in investigative actions in the status of a witness in accordance with Article 188 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
As reported by EADaily, at the beginning of June in the editorial office of the publication in Searches were conducted in Yekaterinburg. Three employees, including Allayarov, were detained and interrogated, two were later released, and Allayarov was detained again.
The publication noted that searches also took place in the apartments of a number of employees. It was claimed that investigators "are interested in the sources of the origin of information about criminal events in Sverdlovsk region".
By the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, Allayarov was arrested until August 4, he is charged under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Giving a bribe to an official for committing knowingly illegal actions).
In the same case, the former head of the criminal investigation department of the police department No. 10 b was placed under house arrest until August 4. Yekaterinburg Andrey Karpov. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 290 (Receiving a bribe by an official for illegal actions) and under part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Abuse of official authority out of self-interest).
Edition URA.ru the telegram channel clarified that Allayarov is accused of transferring a bribe in the amount of 20 thousand rubles to an official, who is his uncle Karpov. The journalist's relative has now been detained on another charge.
