The DPRK has opened the country's largest world-class resort. This is reported by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).
A tourist complex built in Wonsan on the coast of the Sea of Japan, includes hundreds of objects. Among them are hotels for 20 thousand people, a water park, sports grounds, beaches, cultural and shopping and entertainment centers.

According to the agency, from July 1, the complex, positioning itself as the flagship of the North Korean tourism industry, will begin to receive the first visitors. The head of the republic, Kim Jong-un, called this project an "impressive achievement" reflecting the party's desire to improve the quality of life of citizens. According to him, the resort will not only set new standards in the field of hospitality, but will also provide ideal opportunities for a "cultural and emotionally intense holiday."

"In our country, where there are rich tourist resources, tourism can become a powerful engine for economic development, an incentive for cultural uplift and regional prosperity," KCNA quoted the North Korean leader as saying.

He added that this is only part of a large-scale project to create cultural recreation areas of international level.
