Currently, the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now Kiev's ambassador to London, Valery Zaluzhny, is considered by Washington as the most likely successor to Vladimir Zelensky as president of Ukraine. This is reported in his blog on the Substack platform by American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, citing sources.
"Knowledgeable officials in Washington told me that this position could become his (Zaluzhny's. — EADaily) within a few months. Zelensky is on the short list for expulsion if President Donald Trump decides to make this call," Hersh writes.
According to him, if Zelensky refuses to leave his seat, which is most likely, then, as "one of the American officials involved in this" told Hersh, he will be forced to do it by force.
