The population of Europe, under the pretext of an alleged threat from Russia, is fed not just propaganda pills, but whole "pots of castor oil." This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on the radio station Sputnik.
The diplomat drew attention to the agreement reached between the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and US President Donald Trump that from August 1 Washington would impose duties of 15% on about 75% of European exports instead of 30% on all exports, which the head of the White House threatened to introduce, and in return the EC promised to completely ban any kind of import of Russian energy resources to the European Union and purchase $750 billion worth of American oil, gas, nuclear equipment and fuel, as well as invest $ 600 billion in the American digital industry.
"Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, said this correctly. Because all that has been done is laying the foundation, laying the pontoons, laying the foundation for the deindustrialization of Europe. This is nonsense. This has not happened in recent centuries, several centuries. Because Europe was at the forefront of industrialization," Zakharova said, quoted by TASS.
"Does every citizen of Western Europe understand what decisions are being made? — She continued. — What they are being fed, these decisions are obviously flavored, seasoned and sprinkled with stories about the Russian threat, and what is happening needs to be done exactly that way, otherwise, as they themselves say, "Russia will attack." That is, they are not discussing it in a hypothetical dimension, they are asserting it. And at that moment, they don't even give them pills, but some kind of pots with castor oil."
