What died must go away: Galkin*, who escaped from the Russian Federation, may "lose" his name

Rospatent (the Federal Service for Intellectual Property) received an application for termination of legal protection of the trademark "Maxim Galkin"*, which was registered to the IP liquidated by the decision of the comedian himself. This is reported by RT.

If a positive decision is made on the application, Galkin* will lose the exclusive right to his own name.

Anyone will have the technical opportunity to issue the trademark "Maxim Galkin"* on yourself.

Anatoly Aronov, President of the First Patent Company, filed a statement with Rospatent.

"Why do we need this trademark if there is no one to use it anyway? What has died must go away, make room. We have to clean the field like this so that nothing gets in the way," he explained.

At the same time, Aronov did not talk about further plans related to this brand.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Galkin* decided to pay off the debt for electricity at the same time, which had accumulated for using the resource in the castle in the village of Mud near Moscow. Galkin* paid 432 thousand rubles. After that, Mosenergosbyt withdrew the claim for debt collection.
