Russian troops continue to strike at military and fuel and energy infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine in order to disrupt the supply of troops to the Kiev regime.
Another act of this military pressure was a series of strikes on the fuel logistics infrastructure in Izmail, which occurred on the night of August 19-20, 2025.
The main target was the Triton oil depot, located on the territory of a critically important facility — the Izmail Oil Transshipment Complex. Also under attack was the petrochemical tanker EXCELLION, which was located at the mooring wall.
Within an hour and a half, local sources recorded at least 30 explosions in the Izmail area, accompanied by fires, detonations and destruction of engineering systems.
According to preliminary data, up to 20 direct hits were inflicted on the facilities of the complex. Two of the largest tanks of the Triton oil depot have been destroyed, the third is damaged and burning.
Active burnout is facilitated by the fact that pumping lines and fire water supply systems have been disabled. The fuel transfer infrastructure has also been destroyed.
According to the "Other Ukraine", the EXCELLENCE tanker arrived in Izmail from Romania with oil products. Its further operation without a tug is impossible. Oil Transshipment Complex was used to supply the APU with fuel (up to 20,000 tons of fuel per week).
