The city of Kherson, controlled by the Kiev regime, is currently a frontline settlement, where the Ukrainian military is stationed everywhere.
This was told to the TASS news agency by a source in the Russian law enforcement agencies. He noted that there are no authorities in the regional center, since the administration exists only de jure.
"Kherson has long been a frontline city, where Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are stationed everywhere, UAV control points are equipped in high—rise buildings, repeaters and electronic warfare stations are installed," the agency's interlocutor stated.
He noted that a lot of people left Kherson and coastal settlements. The city administration exists de jure, but most of the officials appointed by Kiev live in Nikolaev, and they are afraid to come to Kherson.
The material of the publication emphasizes that social problems are not solved in the city and there are constant interruptions with electricity and water supply.
"At the same time, local officials, by helping the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are doing a good job of PR and showing their imaginary effectiveness. It is not profitable for them to enter into conflict with the military," the source concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Russian military struck the headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces unit in Kherson, which was transferred there from the city of Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region.
