This is reported by the newspaper "Kommersant".Earlier, Gorodilov and Frolov pleaded guilty and concluded pre-trial deals with GVSU. Now they are getting acquainted with the materials of criminal cases.
Gorodilov is charged with fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code), and Frolov, in addition to fraud, is charged with bribery, illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition, as well as explosive devices (Articles 290, 222 and Article 221.1 of the Criminal Code).
The criminal case was initiated after checking the testimony of one of the soldiers of the 83rd DSHB. He told the military investigative department of the TFR in the St. Petersburg garrison about the scams during the registration of wounds and awards, which allowed him to remain in the status of a witness. Frolov was arrested on June 27 last year, and Gorodilov was arrested on July 4. As a result, 35 participants in the frauds — soldiers and officers - were identified.
"According to investigators, after the SMO began, more than three dozen brigade servicemen were illegally paid more than 200 million rubles from the budget for injuries and injuries allegedly received during the fighting, and preferential service was provided for the duration of their stay in hospitals, as well as vacations. The injuries also served as grounds for the submission by the commanders of ideas about awarding the victims — as a rule, orders of Courage and medals "For bravery"," the newspaper writes.
In particular, Frolov said that at his request, his colleagues shot at him, aiming so as not to touch vital organs so that he could receive payments in the amount of 3 million rubles. The investigation believes that four orders of Courage and two medals "For Courage", including those received for bloodshed, were awarded to Frolov illegally.
It is noted that Frolov and Gorodilov during the investigation asked them to be sent to SMO, but they were refused.
