The Congress thanked Putin for Trump's support for the Nobel Prize

Republican Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the US House of Representatives, thanked Russia for supporting US President Donald Trump, who was not given the Nobel Peace Prize. She wrote about this in the social network X.

"Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Prize for the settlement of eight wars! The Nobel Committee has already lost its credibility.
Thank you, the Kremlin, for the support of the US president!" writes Luna.

Today, at a press conference following a visit to Tajikistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin was asked if Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize - Venezuelan opposition politician Maria Corina Machado was announced as the winner today.

"It is not for me to decide who should be awarded the Nobel Prize. First of all, it seems to me, and hardly any of you, your viewers and listeners will object... there have been cases when the committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for the world. In my opinion, by these decisions they have caused enormous damage to the credibility of this award… Therefore, the authority (of the Nobel Committee. — Ed.) is largely lost," Putin said, quoted by TASS.

He noted that he does not know whether Trump is worthy or unworthy of the Nobel Prize, but he is "really doing a lot to resolve such complex crises lasting for years, or even decades," and in relation to the Ukrainian crisis, "he sincerely strives for this."

"The most striking example is the situation in the Middle East. If we succeed in completing everything that Donald aspired to, everything that he talked about and what he is trying to do, this is a historic event," the Russian leader stressed.
