Austrian extreme skydiver Felix Baumgartner died in an accident while paragliding off the Adriatic coast in Italy. This is reported by the Kurier portal.
It is specified that Baumgartner took off from the site used to launch motor paragliders, at some point the 56-year-old man lost control of the "motor paraglider due to sudden discomfort and fell into the hotel pool.
" According to the rescue services, Baumgartner died at the scene.When the motorcycle paraglider fell, one of the hotel staff was injured, he was hospitalized with a neck injury.
There were a lot of people, including children, near the pool during the fall of the device, the accident could have been much more extensive.
Baumgartner gained worldwide fame in 2012 after jumping out of the stratosphere. He set three world records by jumping from a height of 38 km and reaching a speed of 1173 km/ h. More than 8 million online users followed the record flight.
