Medvedev is confident that the world will soon learn about new nuclear powers

The number of countries that officially possess nuclear weapons will gradually increase, since currently not all countries are recognized by the world community as nuclear. The number of states developing their neural networks will also grow. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Skolkovo Foundation Dmitry Medvedev.

"An interesting comparison has been made here now: that [if we compare] the number of nuclear powers and the number of powers that develop generative artificial intelligence, there are more nuclear powers. It's true. But I will remind you that among them there are those that are not recognized by the world community as nuclear powers, but in fact they are," Medvedev said, speaking at the "AI Day" in Skolkovo, quoted by TASS.

He believes that among the countries developing artificial intelligence, there are those that are not yet heard of — and they will still declare themselves.

"But the fact that we are now inside this rather narrow club is cool. This is a competitive advantage that we still have and which it would be great not to lose. There is no doubt that there will be an increase in the number of countries that will try to create their own models, as well as countries that will create nuclear weapons. There is no doubt about that either. We must be realistic," the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council added.
