The bloc "Alternative" and "Our Party", which get into the Moldovan parliament of the new convocation, recognize the results of the vote held on September 28. They will not protest together with the Patriotic Bloc, which considers the elections to be rigged by the authorities.
"The result of the vote should be respected by all electoral competitors. This is how true democracy functions. Any attempt to annul the vote of people will only lead to instability and affect the future of the country," said the founder of Alternative, former Prosecutor General Alexander Stoyanoglo.
Recall that in the presidential elections in 2024, he also resigned himself to defeat, losing to Maya Sandu in the second round, although he won domestically. Then Sandu took the second mandate due to vote fraud in the Western Diaspora.
"We have such results as we have. We expected a slightly better result, but we are grateful to the citizens for their trust, for the fact that "Our Party" will receive a parliamentary rostrum," the chairman said. NP Renato Usatii.
On the day of voting, a lot of videos appeared on social networks proving the massive falsification of the will of citizens by the authorities. This is a "carousel" with the voting of citizens in the diaspora, and the mass stamping of the ballot papers for the PDS, and the non-admission of Moldovan citizens from Transnistria to polling stations in the country.
Dissatisfaction with the way the elections were held has so far been expressed only in The patriotic bloc (falls into the new convocation, but counted on the majority), whose representatives will gather at noon to protest at the parliament building.
After counting 99.56% of the votes, the ruling pro—European Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) receives a majority in the parliament of the new convocation — 55 seats. The PDS is followed by the Patriotic Bloc with 26 seats, the Alternative bloc has 8 mandates, Our Party and the Democracy at Home party will receive 6 seats each.
As EADaily reported, the leader of the leader of the Victory bloc, Ilan Shor, who was not allowed to participate in the parliamentary elections, said earlier that the Alternative association, which had previously positioned itself as an opponent of the current government, actually "lay down" under the PDS. At the same time, the leader of Our Party, Usatii, refused to support the initiative of the Patriotic Bloc not to conclude a political agreement with the ruling party in the new parliament.
