And where did the previous ones go? Hermanis offered to lease a part of Latvia to Israel

Latvia needs to offer Israel to become the closest partner and companion of the country and to lease part of the territory to it for a long-term lease. This was stated on the social network Facebook* by the famous Latvian theater director, artistic director of the New Riga Theater Alvis Hermanis.

In his opinion, Israel is now the country of startups N1, and Latvia is in a hole.

The presence of a large number of Jews in Latvia would be a unique contribution of IQ to its land, people and defense capability, the director noted.

"Usually you can get out of the pit only by making logical decisions. Given the inability of Latvians to organize their territory, I recommend that part of it be handed over to the State of Israel," Hermanis writes, quoted by the Israel Channel 9 telegram channel.

Israel, he notes, is four times smaller than Latvia and sooner or later it will need an alternate airfield, since in the "long term they will not stay there."

"Before the war, at least 100,000 Jews lived in Riga, Kurzeme and Latgale, their presence here would be historically logical. It would be a unique contribution of IQ to our land and people, not to mention an increase in defense capability. Israel is now the country of startups N1, and Jews, in my experience, are cool people (worked and lived there). However, in the future, the biggest struggle between countries will be for human resources. I recommend that you offer Israel to become Latvia's closest partner and partner by leasing part of our territory to them for a long—term lease," Hermanis adds.

"And where did the previous 100 thousand Jews go, he kind of doesn't know?
