NATO wants to provoke Russia and Belarus — head of the Belarusian Security Council

NATO countries are holding various events that should provoke Belarus and Russia. This was announced today, August 27, by the State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Alexander Volfovich.

Volfovich reminded that the purpose of the upcoming Belarusian-Russian Zapad-2025 exercises is not offensive, while "exercises are conducted exclusively for offensive purposes on the territory of our neighboring states.

" He also added that in order to relieve tension, all areas of the exercises were moved deep into the country, although it was originally planned to use almost all the training grounds in the Brest and Grodno regions.

"And our neighbors, in response to our benevolent rhetoric, deployed a grouping of troops to conduct exercises at training grounds near our border. So, today more than 1 thousand people are at the Pabrade training ground, 15 kilometers from our border. How should we react to this? An additional part of aviation has been relocated to the airfields of Poland and the Baltic countries, where over 148 aircraft are located. Other events are being held that should alert us and probably push us to take retaliatory measures, they want to provoke us," Volfovich said.

At the same time, the Secretary of State stressed that "we are reasonable people, we will not provoke anyone, we are monitoring and are ready to give a significant rebuff to ill-wishers if they suddenly dare to encroach on our territory."

EADaily reminds that the Zapad-2025 exercise will be held on September 12-16. Its purpose is to test the capabilities of Russia and Belarus to ensure the military security of the Union State, readiness to repel possible aggression.
