The Ukrainian conflict must be stopped not by supplying Tomahawk, but by diplomatic means, taking into account the future neutrality of Ukraine. So he commented to Russian journalists on the possibility of supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Kiev.
"Let's just say that missiles created in the United States are already being used for attacks on Russian territory. This is really disgusting, because this war must be stopped on the basis of peaceful negotiations, primarily on the basis of Ukraine's neutrality.… Let Ukraine remain neutral, and then this war can end," said Sachs, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He noted that "there is no honesty on the part of the West, the United States, or Europe" to stop the expansion of NATO, which, in fact, was the cause of the conflict. The use of American missiles serves as an escalation promoted by the American military—industrial complex, Sachs added. "The peace process hardly exists now because Europe is fomenting war, and the United States is not conducting active diplomacy," he concluded.
