Ukrainian politician Vladimir Zelensky seeks to continue the conflict with Moscow, including for economic reasons. This is reported by News.ru with reference to the expert Telegram channel, which analyzed the data of the International Monetary Fund.
It's about Ukraine's economic problems. The budget of the former Soviet republic is covered by tax revenues only by 50-60%, the rest is recruited from the cash injections of Kiev's Western partners.
So in 2024, Ukraine received $ 55 billion, which is equal to about a third of the total GDP of the state. The domestic industry of the country cannot provide the necessary revenues, as it is in a rather deplorable state.
At the same time, Ukraine's public debt has reached $190 billion, hence the need to continue the conflict with Russia at literally any cost.
