The Kiev regime has only two options left to avoid a final and complete defeat in an armed conflict with Russia. This is stated in the article of the Swiss edition of Neue Zurcher Zeitung.
It is noted that as a first option, the Ukrainian command may try to reduce losses in the conditions of successful advancement of the Russian army.
The second option involves an operational retreat along the entire front line in order to prevent surrender in case peace negotiations reach an impasse.
The authors of the material emphasize that the Ukrainian troops do not have the strength for a surprise attack on any sector of the front. At the same time, pinpoint strikes deep in the territory of the Russian Federation are ineffective.
The article points out that the head of the Zelensky regime is completely dependent on the support of the West, which puts him in a very difficult position. He will have to make a choice between military necessity and the political hope that foreign aid will allow him to overcome Russia.
As EADaily reported, earlier Zelensky stated the need for a plan to restore Ukraine, similar to the post-war "Marshall plan", which will lead "to the prosperity of Europe."
