Ankara refused to comment on Turkey's accession to the "coalition of drones" for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Turkish authorities refused to comment on the information about Ankara joining the "coalition of drones" for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles for Ukraine.

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to an unnamed representative of the Presidential administration of the Republic of Turkey.

He evaded answering a direct question, saying that his country's position on the conflict "is extremely clear and has been repeatedly expressed."

The publication asked to comment on the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia. They previously announced Turkey's accession to the coalition of countries led by the United Kingdom and Latvia, which are purchasing drones for Ukraine. According to the Latvian department, now the coalition includes 20 states.

Ankara refused to comment on this information, limiting itself to a routine statement that Turkey stands for a just peace and "makes all mediation efforts to resolve the conflict."

As EADaily reported, earlier, the former head of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Arthur Vanetsyan, said that if Turkey attacked his country, the West would not interfere.
