Tankers coming for oil in Russia, engaged the FSB

Since this week, ships coming from abroad have been entering Russian ports with the permission of the port captain, agreed with the FSB. Reuters claims that there is some delay in loading tankers.

"Due to the new rules imposed on foreign oil tankers, loading was temporarily banned at the main Black Sea ports of Russia on Wednesday," Reuters reports citing two sources.
We are talking, for example, about Novorossiysk and the terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), through which Western companies receive Kazakh oil.

The source told Reuters that the situation will be resolved within one or two days.

It is not known how much the agency's information corresponds to reality. According to AIS of vessels, in the morning of July 23, the CPC tanker Asia left the terminal, and in the evening the vessel Nissos Christiana left the port of Novorossiysk. Maran Homer at the same time approached the loading on the remote berthing installation of the CPC terminal at sea twice — in the afternoon of July 23 and in the morning of July 24.

On July 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree in accordance with the law "On Martial Law." The document says that ships coming from foreign ports can enter Russian ones only with the permission of the seaport captain, agreed with the FSB.

Obviously, the decree of the head of state is related to ensuring security.

As EADaily reported, Ukrainian saboteurs can lay on tankers that transport oil and gas from Russia, mines. Since the beginning of the year, an explosion has already occurred on the sixth vessel. At the same time, two incidents occurred in the Baltic Ust-Luga.

Mostly tankers of Greek companies were hit. As a result, they strengthen the protection of their vessels: they conduct inspections of tankers and keep crews alert.
