Designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev in his youth received a US green card (a document that confirms the right of a foreigner to permanent residence and work in the USA). He told about this in a conversation with blogger Amiran Sardarov, whose video is available on VKontakte.
According to Lebedev, after a year of living in the United States, he decided to keep a green card just in case.
"I came for a week so that my green card wouldn't be lost. In order for you to keep it, you need to leave America for no more than 365 days. And I left for 363 days," he explained.
Lebedev clarified that he did this five times until his trick was noticed by the supervisory authorities. After that, he was offered a choice: either to live in the United States on a permanent basis and check in with the relevant department every two weeks, or to destroy the document.
"I say, 'Give me the scissors.' I cut it myself right at the border," Lebedev concluded.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Lebedev, who visited all countries of the world, tried to calculate the amount spent on travel.
"I did not quit my main job, but also traveled. It took me 15 years," he said.
According to him, he did not keep accurate accounting of his travels.
"I probably spent $1 million on this over 15 years," Lebedev suggested.
