Kostyuk warned Sandu: In case of re-election, the PDS will lose everything

In case of repeated elections, the ruling Action and Solidarity party in Moldova risks losing everything. This was stated on the air of the Moldova 1 TV channel by Vasily Kostyuk, chairman of the parliamentary Democracy at Home party, which the PDS wants to deprive of mandates.

"In case of a repeat vote, there may be more protest votes.
Today the ruling party has 55 votes. Therefore, I would like to convey to them the message that the police spread during the campaign: "Don't play with the voice, because you will lose everything," the politician warned.

According to him, if the election results are approved, "Democracy at Home" will not be a comfortable opposition for the authorities.

"The role of the opposition is not to play along with the authorities, as Dodon (socialist, leader of the Patriotic Bloc) has done in recent years. I think he was the most positive (convenient) oppositionist. And the votes cast for our party are protest, anti—systemic," Kostyuk added.

He also drew attention to the fact that the problem is that the PDS do not know how to cooperate with anyone. At the same time, Kostyuk does not exclude the possibility of interaction with the ruling party, "if they are ready to hear there."

"If they propose the idea of a technocrat government, reduce spending (on the state apparatus), reduce the number of ministries. We have our own suggestions. And if there is a vote on national projects, of course we will support, we are not enemies of this country," concluded the leader of the Democracy at Home party.

Recall that the Democracy at Home party has 6 mandates in the new parliament. However, the PDS demanded that the CEC cancel them on the grounds that on the day of voting, there was campaigning for them on social networks from accounts managed from Romania. Kostyuk is sure that they need additional mandates to amend the The Constitution and return the presidential elections to the parliament, as it was before 2016. Then Maia Sandu will be able to retain power after the completion of the second mandate.

As EADaily reported, the possibility of repeat elections is also allowed in the opposition Patriotic bloc, which received 26 parliamentary seats. In this case, the authorities will have to admit that massive violations and falsification were committed during the voting.

This week, the CEC of Moldova sent the materials of the parliamentary elections of September 28 to The Constitutional Court for approval. The court has 10 days at its disposal to approve or invalidate the voting results.
