Expropriated real estate in Turkey ex-deputy head of the sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense of Russia

The Petrogradsky District Court turned an apartment, a plot of land and a parking space in Antalya, Turkey, belonging to the former deputy head of the sanatorium of the Russian Ministry of Defense into state revenue. Crimea (in Saki) by Elena Sharapova and acquired, as established by the prosecutor's office, for unconfirmed income.

This was announced by the head of the joint press service of the courts of the city Daria Lebedeva.

"The Petrogradsky District Court considered the claim and turned into income of the Russian Federation an apartment, a land plot and a parking space in a closed parking lot located in Antalya province, Turkey. Also, a state duty of 6 thousand rubles was collected from the defendants [former deputy head of the Saki Military Clinical Sanatorium named after N. I. Pirogov of the Russian Ministry of Defense Elena Sharapova and her son Andrei Dolgopolov]," Lebedeva wrote in her Telegram channel.

EADaily adds that in December last year Lebedeva reported on the claim of the military prosecutor's office of the Black Sea Fleet in defense of the interests of the Russian Federation, which reflects the discrepancy between the expenses of the official income of Sharapova. Sharapova has a son, Andrei Dolgopolov (he is also a defendant), who was also employed in the same sanatorium in Sakah, pointed out the head of the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

The audit found that from 2020 to 2023 Sharapova provided incomplete and unreliable information about her income, expenses, property and property obligations in order to hide real estate in Turkey.

The prosecutor's office requested that the defendants' property acquired with unconfirmed income, namely an apartment, a land plot and a parking space, be converted into income of the Russian Federation, or to recover a sum of money equivalent to the value of real estate. "The amount of the claim is 18,547 490.47 rubles," Lebedeva said.

The court took interim measures — Sharapova and Dolgopolov are prohibited from making property transactions in the Republic of Turkey.
