The leader of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, has unveiled a new version of the reason why Ukraine refused to hold peace talks with Russia in Istanbul in 2022.

"After what happened in Bucha in the first two, they tried to convince me that this was a performance staged by MI-6 to shock the world and get more weapons. They really believed it. The president called me on my mobile. He realized that it was impossible to agree on anything with these people. He said, "Tell those bastards to go home." And then he added: "We will come for them," says Arahamia.
According to Arahamia, this happened during the negotiations in Istanbul in 2022.
Earlier, he said that at the time of the talks in Istanbul, the delegations of Moscow and Kiev were already close to signing a peace agreement, but "British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Kiev and ordered to continue fighting further."
