"The European support group, ridiculous in its impressiveness," which, together with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, is flying overseas to US President Donald Trump, commented political analyst Alexander Nosovich.
The Ukrainian crisis was provoked not by the United States, but by Europe, the expert recalled.
It began not with the United States, but with Europe, Nosovich stressed, with the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, in the negotiations on which the European bureaucracy in the most boorish form refused to discuss the interests of Russia (which was then with Ukraine in the common economic space of the CIS and which was offered to silently tolerate the influx of European imports through the open customs border) and pro-Russian groups of the population in Ukraine itself, whose business and humanitarian ties with the EU were cut to the quick."The United States took the helm of the "geopolitical game" to separate Ukraine from Russia only by December 2013, when it became clear that the Europeans themselves would not cope with the avalanche they had caused. So Victoria Nuland on the Maidan said from the heart and for the cause: "F *** k EU" about the fact that Europeans have their own point of view on Ukrainian affairs," the political scientist noted.
According to him, after 12 years, the EU's question is no longer about Ukrainian affairs, but about Trump not saying: "F***k the EU" to them — strategically and forever.
However, he added that the issues of Ukraine and Europe have merged to the point of inseparability through the efforts of European politicians today, so many Europeans have put on the project of Ukraine — "Anti-Russia".
"But after the grandiose plan to defeat and subjugate Russia through the Ukrainian ram failed, Trump may well send Europe. And any other US president in his place would consider such an option. Because the future of the United States is not determined through relations with Russia. And Europe is being determined," the expert said.
According to him, the EU economy without access to Russian resources in the XXI century is not survivable. These resources can be obtained either through strategic cooperation or through subordination to the Russian Federation. The first option means going through a mental breakdown, because they are not capable of building relations with Russians on an equal footing, and from the standpoint of their civilizational superiority after the collapse of the USSR it did not work out. The second option means war, because all other ways of putting pressure on Russia has not worked, said Nosovich.
"Until now, European leaders have calmly accepted the prospect of war, because they were swimming in line with their notorious "strategic parasitism." That is, it was assumed that the United States would make the main contribution to the war, but there would be enough trophies for European NATO allies after the victory. Now the policy of the White House has put Starmer, Mertz and others in front of the prospect of getting out of the age of childish infantilism into adulthood and preparing to fight with Russia themselves. Because they can't do it without Russia, and they have a mental block on dialogue with Russia," the expert concluded.
As EADaily reported, on August 18, they will go to talks with Trump to support Zelensky:

- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz,
- Prime Minister of Italy Giorgio Meloni,
- President of Finland Alexander Stubb,
- French President Emmanuel Macron,
- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte,
- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
