Theater and film actor Alexander Feklistov admitted that he was not going to run away from In Russia, he believed that he could be useful in a difficult period for the country. He stated this in the podcast "Keep your eyes open" to journalist Irina Petrovskaya.
Feklistov noted that after the start of the special military operation, he worked on the Russian stage for another year, but then, after his public appeal to Ukrainians with words of solidarity, all performances were closed.
"We did not abandon our homeland," the actor says, responding to the just reproaches of those who call the departed artists "traitors who abandoned their homeland."
He once again stressed that he had lost all his work.
"And that's why I left…I left to die," Feklistov concluded.
As reported by EADaily, Feklistov is now taking part in the play "Drive your plow over the bones of the Dead" based on the novel by Olga Tokarchuk together with Liya Akhedzhakova. The production conducted a tour of the cities of Spain and Switzerland.
