From the end of July to August 8, the Basmanny Court of Moscow, in the framework of two criminal cases involving the general director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater and the artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Theater, Vladimir Kekhman, gradually arrested the property of the closest relatives of the cultural figure.
This is reported by the portal "Fontanka"."Interim measures have been imposed on a cottage and land plots in the Moscow region, estimated by the cadastre at more than 90 million rubles; an apartment in 200 squares near the Kremlin worth 160 million; an apartment in Novosibirsk and in the center of St. Petersburg (respectively, 7 and 40 million rubles)," the publication says.
Kekhman's accounts in two Russian banks, as well as the accounts of a number of his relatives, were also blocked. The value of the seized property is estimated at about 350 million rubles.
As reported by EADaily, on July 9, the security forces came to search the director of the Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky and the artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Theater Vladimir Kekhman. On the same day, investigative actions were carried out in the building of the Moscow Art Theater. Kekhman himself was taken to The Investigative Committee for questioning. It was clarified that during the searches in the building of the Moscow Art Theater and the director general himself, documentation was seized.
It was claimed that the central apparatus was working IC and Economic security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the framework of a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or appropriation on an especially large scale), which is associated with the reconstruction of the Moscow Art Theater stage on Tverskoy Boulevard.
RIA Novosti claimed that Kekhman was charged with embezzlement, and he was released on his own recognizance not to leave.Later, investigative measures were carried out in Mikhailovsky Theater. It was planned to seize documents in the offices of the theater's management and interview the administration staff of the institution.
Later it became known about another criminal case involving Kekhman, under part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code ("Receiving a bribe on an especially large scale").
