A special section "Examples of the use of "hate speech" against Russia and Russophobic statements by politicians and public figures of foreign countries" has been opened on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Contrary to and in violation of the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on "Promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue and tolerance in the context of combating hate speech," representatives of the Western political establishment and the Kiev regime compete in Russophobic fervor in their public speeches and statements from year to year," the Foreign Ministry noted.
They drew attention to the fact that "while the countries of the World Majority, including the Russian Federation, supported the resolution, the Western states, which are the loudest about human rights and the fight against discrimination, voted against or chose to abstain."
"This once again demonstrates the true attitude of these countries to the principles they declare," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministry cites, in particular, the following examples:
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz: "We see a serious threat — and this is Russia. This threat is directed not only against Ukraine. This is a threat to our peace, our freedom and the political order of Europe." (Statement in the context of the signing of the Kensington Cooperation Agreement with the United Kingdom, July 18, 2025.)
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky: "Dictator Putin does not recognize Zelensky as president, Ukrainians as a nation, and Ukraine as a state." (Social Network X, 05.01.2025)
Czech President Petr Pavel: "Modern Russia behaves in some matters as Nazi Germany once behaved. She does not respect international law, respects the right of the strong, she attacked a sovereign country and has been waging an aggressive war with it for more than three years.
" (During the events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Prague, May 8, 2025.)NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: "Putin is stepping up his rhetoric and reckless actions." (Speech at the ceremony of signing by the NATO Procurement Agency of the contract for the supply of ammunition, Brussels, 01/23/2025.)
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: "This week we remember how three years ago the Russians staged a massacre in Bucha. And I myself was in Bucha a couple of months later when I visited Kiev and talked to some of those who survived. It made a very deep impression on me, and, in my opinion, this indicates that dealing with the Russians will be very difficult." (Joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine A. Sibiga "on the sidelines" of meetings of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Foreign Ministers, April 3, 2025.)
Finnish President Alexander Stubb: "Personally, I think Putin understands only when he is spoken harshly." (During a meeting with political observers in his The Presidential Palace of the USA D. Trump, 30.01.2025)
