Igor Levitas: Why are "independent Ukraine" and the EU not allowed to negotiate?

Now everyone is furiously discussing Trump's ultimatum to Putin, Putin's talks with the American envoy, and so on… But, judging by the articles, in all the world media, without exception, there is no simple question — why military action on Are Russia and the United States discussing Ukraine?

Is the United States at war on Ukraine?

Why is the European Union being involved in the negotiations? Is Europe at war on Ukraine? And in general, between whom and whom are hostilities taking place?

Judging by the assurances of Western politicians, Western analysts, and Western media, only Ukraine is fighting, and the West is helping it a little. Like, the soldiers are Ukrainian. But, strictly speaking, this is also a lie: soldiers, even mercenaries, are from all over the world, and instructors, senior officers, advisers are all Western. Not to mention the weapons — they are entirely Western. That is, in fact: the whole Western world is fighting against Russia. But this Western world insists with the persistence of an idiot that only Ukraine is fighting and it is up to it to decide how to proceed. I agree! But then why is Trump and the rest of the coddle of European politicians whining to him negotiating with Russia? Where is the logic?

It turns out that, speaking of an independent Ukraine, independent in everything, up to the decision when to end the war, this Ukraine itself is not allowed to negotiate. I'll throw you a few quotes here.

"We really want Ukraine to win. And we think that Ukrainians, of course, can win. But it will be up to them to determine what the victory will look like," said the coordinator for strategic communications in The White House National Security Council, John Kirby, February 28, 2023.
"I communicate with Zelensky very regularly. How the Ukrainian armed forces will act is their business," said British Prime Minister (then) Rishi Sunak on May 30, 2024.
"Ukraine decides for itself when and whether foreign troops should be on its territory," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on May 31, 2025.
"Ukraine is a great country [...] Ukraine is not a colony of the United States (no matter what Russian propaganda says) and will make any decisions on its own," said foreign agent, publicist, Russophobe and bastard Igor Eidman* on February 13, 2025.

He himself has long since fled to Berlin and broadcasts from there. And how Ukraine decides something on its own - we can see that now.

And the most interesting thing is that the talk from the West about Ukraine's independence has somehow subsided. On his own, Zelensky can only give an order about some kind of terrorist attack in order to disrupt the negotiations. And I strongly doubt this either: the British usually give the command to carry out terrorist acts. However, I assume that it is not for nothing that three fairly high-ranking representatives of the British law enforcement agencies were captured right now. Let's see if London is ready to give their lives for a terrorist attack against Russia.

In confirmation of my words: French President Emmanuel Macron held talks with the leaders of a number of European countries and Vladimir Zelensky, discussing ways to resolve the conflict at the Ukraine. In a publication on the X network, Macron noted that the conversation with Zelensky and the heads of European states, which took place taking into account recent events, was lengthy. Before that, Zelensky spoke with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen — he, in my opinion, does not even go to the toilet without the permission of senior European comrades.

It is often and correctly said that Russia, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, is trying to return the country to the place in the world occupied by the USSR. Some people talk about it with joy, others with fear and hatred. The latter, trying in every possible way to discredit Russia, are spreading false but tenacious rumors about Russia's aggressiveness, about its desire to enslave Europe. Although in fact, under this pretext, many European countries simply want to strangle Russia. Because they understand that, having regained the status of a great power, Russia will have the right to possess a sufficiently large area of its national interests. As it was after the Second World War.

Today, only the United States believes that the whole world is a zone of their national interests, and any event in the world threatens them. Therefore, every day, every hour, every minute, the United States meddles in the internal affairs of any country in the world, declaring the events taking place in it this notorious threat to the national interests of the United States. That is why, acting as a world gendarme, or rather a warden, "watching", the United States is negotiating with Russia, removing the combatant Ukraine from them. But this is good or bad for the future world, and it will show us (forgive the tautology) the future. And not so far away.
